AUTUMN MORNING ROUTINE

AUTUMN IS MY FAV ๐Ÿ‚

As Mother Nature prepares for a new season, changes to my daily routines slightly do also. The days are shorter, so are earlier wake up times, earlier bed times, and no-bullshit morning routines.

My routine changes depending on my makeup/zen den schedule but I try to give myself enough time to complete most of these tasks. If I have to be out the door by 9am Iโ€™m waking up and starting this routine at 7am. It really sets the tone for the day/week/month/year/life, k?

- Make bed for a tidy space and feeling of accomplishment (2 minutes)

- 5 minute journal (5 minutes)

- tongue scrape + floss (2 minutes)

- 20 minute brisk walk outside followed by 5-10 min of weights all while listening to podcasts (fav is @lewishowes school of greatness, Iโ€™ve been an OG listener for 5 years) (30 min)

- red light therapy while meditating using @insighttimer app its free (10 min)

- blend @dailyharvest smoothie (vanilla bean and cacao forever, discount code ALEXGILL) (3 min)

- usually skip breakfast but these days Iโ€™ve been really loving @dailydosemeals breakfast. Takes no time to heat up and everything is organic and full of nutrients and DELICIOUS (discount code ALEXGILL) (10 min to heat and eat)

- Skincare changes in the fall a bit; been obsessing over @drunkelephantluxury Marula oil (10 min)

- turn on essential oil diffuser @vitruvi I like citrus scents for the AM to wake me up (1 min)

- Read (re-reading I will teach you how to be rich and 4 hour work week @timferriss) (10 min)

- financial check-in, set a financial goal for the week, get in the habit of frequently checking accounts and investments to give yourself a good idea of where you're frequently spending and where you can be saving/investing. @mint is a great app for this ( 5 minutes)

- set goals, intentions, and go over to-do list (5 min)

- light cleaning (Sundayโ€™s I do 1 hr deep clean) I need a tidy and organized space, home should be your sanctuary (15 min)

- get inbox to zero before noon (20 min)

- infrared sauna (25 minutes)
